Five acres of truffle heaven

Pure, symbiotic land management across our Truffière is essential to harness our Premium Black Périgord Truffle – The Duthil way.
Pesticide, fungicide and fertiliser free; just as our ancestors fell in love with them in their pure, natural state.

While our farm spans fifty acres in total, we have selected and prepared five acres with the optimal conditions and contours for truffle farming to ensure the best natural Winter Truffle, year after year.

A moving picture

Deep Rich and Fertile Ancient soils of Volcanic Red Basalts

Truffière Duthil is far from simply a random plot squared out inside a rural property. Rather, the plantations’ location is key having been carefully studied and selected in order to harness and maximise the highest quality production standards of Truffles ever seen in Australia.

Truffiere Duthil located in the Volcanic plains of Essington a region of rich ancient soils; natures laws of physics & kinetic rhythms at play. Consisting of contoured hills, peak ancient volcanic soils full of microbial balances, land movements capturing precipitation and water channels.

Two large plantation bodies interconnect in a dance together via plateau arrangements entwined, harnessing a intermittent water creek of Essington. All valuable assets and unique to Truffiere Duthil.

Designed and planted by expert Philippe Tot in early Spring of 2021, implementing various methods of old-cultivation with the results speaking for themselves.

Production of first samples in 3.5 years with over 5kgs in quality samples though the 2025 season. Size of 100g or larger truffle in both Hazelnut & English Oak varieties (tuber melanosporum) commonly seen.
